We walked into Baco by chance, when I was craving for a glass of Jerez. We sat at the bar and started chatting with the server, this being early in the evening and still very quiet. He provided us with a great explanation of the different types of Jerez (sherry). On our leaving, we asked if they also served regular food, and he said of course, especially bacalao (salt cod), one of my favorite dishes. Accordingly, we went back a couple of days later, a Friday evening. The place was loud, happy, and teeming with local couples, families with children, friends after work, all having a really good time. We ordered the bacalao and it was indeed one of the best I ever had, tender and deliciously moist. This family-operated place gave us a wonderful insight into Sevilla life and we thank them for it.
This restaurant has been around for 40 years and serves excellent food. The menu has many traditional regional dishes all prepared with care. The service is also top notch. Filled with locals, get a table if you can :-)
Stopped by for a drink, and was allowed to stand at the bar despite there being no tables. Cruzcampo Radler on draught, served by really friendly and efficient waitress. All glasses washed in ice water before serving so beer very crisp and cold! Excellent value beers - not sure about food! Olives provided with beers - nice place for a beer and a chat in the evening! Lights quite bright and white - maybe a tiny bit surgical.
We spent eleven days in Seville, and went to many fantastic restaurants. However, we came back to this establishment several times due to the outstanding food and service; incredibly professional staff, old world service. Attached are the veal special, and salad of the day (prawns). Both were fantastic. We also had a sea bass special on another night, and it was amazing. Most of the staff speak perfect English...not that it matters since everyone in Spain is very helpful/friendly.
The location is great, very close to everything. The service was superb, the staff were so attentive, and the place was impeccably clean. The shrimp dish was amazing, but the cod fish and lakerda were pretty salty. Nevertheless, we were still very happy with our experience."
Right after our visit to Setas de Sevilla, we walked by this charming place for a late lunch. Service was great, as usual we pick dishes we are familiar with. The cod fish dish n iberico pork cheeks were delicious. Highly recommended you come here, we had a wonderful lunch.
